The legal entity and ABN trading as Home Loan Chef should be confirmed before this policy is treated as final.
Information we may collect
Depending on your enquiry and whether you proceed with a loan application, information may include your name, contact details, identification and residency details, employment and income, expenses, assets, liabilities, credit history, property details and supporting documents. We may also receive information from co-applicants, guarantors, lenders, credit reporting bodies and professional advisers where permitted and authorised.
Why we collect and use information
We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, understand your lending needs, provide credit assistance, compare loan options, assist with applications, communicate with lenders and other relevant parties, administer our services, manage records, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. If you do not provide information necessary for an assessment, we may be unable to assist with an application.
Credit information and credit reporting
With the relevant notices and authorisations, credit-related information may be obtained from or shared with credit providers and credit reporting bodies for assessing and processing finance applications. Credit information may include repayment history, existing credit commitments and credit reports. Applicable credit reporting disclosures and authorisations will also be provided during the application process.
Who information may be shared with
Where appropriate for your enquiry or application, information may be shared with our Australian Credit Licence holder, mortgage aggregator, prospective lenders, mortgage insurers, credit reporting bodies, identity-verification providers, valuers, conveyancers, solicitors, accountants, relevant service providers, regulators and others you authorise. We do not describe any third party as a recipient unless it is relevant to the service provided.
Overseas handling and digital services
Some technology, communications or cloud-service providers may process or store information outside Australia. The relevant providers and overseas locations should be confirmed with our licensee and service providers before this section is finalised. Our website may use third-party services, including Wix for website hosting and Calendly for appointment scheduling; their own privacy notices may also apply when you use those services.
Website enquiries and marketing
If you contact us through the website, email, telephone, social media or an appointment booking service, we may use the details you provide to respond and arrange a consultation. Where marketing communications are sent, you may ask us to stop by emailing info@homeloanchef.com. Website analytics and cookies, if enabled, should be described in the site's cookie notice or consent controls.
Security and retention
